Internet Standards
GoalView uses familiar, standard Internet browser interface technology and
globally accepted Internet Standards. Using accepted Internet Standards
enables compliance with Section 508 federal usability requirements, Internet
appliances, web phones, WebTV, and the full range of multimedia technologies,
e.g., Flash, Quicktime, RealAudio, and Firetalk.
 |
To access GoalView, all you need is a computer connected to the Internet with
a free Internet Browser, e.g., Netscape Navigator, America On Line, Microsoft
Explorer and a free Acrobat Reader browser plug-in. |
Other applications that use non-standard technologies, e.g., proprietary
Internet client and server software, introduce non-standard user interfaces,
disable easy remote and parent access, risk violation of federal usability
guidelines and increase training and support requirements for non-standard
interfaces, specialized installation, non-standard browser setup, expensive
server hardware, increased technical support, increased on-site technical and
user training and so on.
GoalView is designed to be easy to use, effortless to maintain, cost-effective
to implement, and always up-to-dateall possible only by standardizing
on Internet standards and technologies.
